Position OverviewWarner Mechanical, a Division of R.W. Warner, Inc., is looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead to join their team! The Manufacturing Team Lead – Mechanical & Plumbing oversees the daily operations of the fabrication shop supporting mechanical and plumbing construction projects. This role provides hands‑on leadership to shop personnel, coordinates production schedules, enforces safety and quality standards, and works closely with the Fabrication Manager to ensure materials are fabricated and delivered on time and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, supervise, and support fabrication shop personnel in daily operations
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize fabrication work to meet project and jobsite deadlines
- Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, spool sheets, and specifications
- Coordinate with the Fabrication Manager to align shop production with field and project needs
- Ensure quality control, proper material usage, and adherence to company standards
- Enforce shop safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- Track shop productivity, material usage, and labor hours
- Assist with training, mentoring, and performance development of shop personnel
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shop processes, tools, and workflows
- Experience in mechanical and/or plumbing fabrication, including pipe, fittings, HVAC, or hydronic systems
- Prior leadership, foreman, or lead experience in a fabrication or shop environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and fabrication documents
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of shop safety practices and quality control standards
- Experience using fabrication tools, welding processes, and shop equipment
- Shop‑based role with regular coordination between fabrication, project management, and field operations
- Hands‑on leadership position combining supervision and technical expertise
