Maintenance Lead – ABM Industries

Job Description

The Maintenance Lead troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC and related equipment as assigned, and assumes day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects to ensure contractual commitments are met on time and cost-effectively.

Compensation

$35 - $37 per hour (US Dollars). The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a company incentive or bonus program.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
• High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of prior HVAC or mechanical technician experience is preferred.
• One (1) year of prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of technical knowledge regarding equipment and concepts.
• Handle heavy workload of calls.
• Inform customer when arriving at or leaving the job and when planning to return.
• Manage workload and job scheduling.
• Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork.
• Obtain customer signature on all service reports (before work begins when performing spot jobs).
• Keep manager informed of customer feedback.
• Communicate effectively and promptly.
• Provide technical training and knowledge as needed to client, customer and team.
• Collaborate with and across multiple departments and representatives within the company.
• When the Supervisor is present, the lead worker may also be responsible for directing smaller work groups.
• Report team performance issues to the Supervisor.
