We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to join our IT Department. This role is ideal for a mid-level IT professional with strong systems and networking experience who thrives in a hands‑on environment and takes ownership of projects and initiatives. The IT Systems Specialist will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our infrastructure, network security, cloud services, and the day‑to‑day IT operations across multiple locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Administer and support Active Directory and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) in a hybrid environment
- Create, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Manage AD and Entra security policies and access controls
- Maintain and secure SharePoint Online environments
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Configure and manage Ubiquiti Uni Fi and Sonic Wall networking and security appliances
- Install, terminate, and test network cabling as needed
- Monitor and maintain server backup systems and processes
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Participate in an on‑call rotation schedule and provide occasional after‑hours or weekend support
- Travel between company locations as needed (company vehicle provided; occasional personal vehicle use may be required)
- Lead and execute internal IT projects from planning through completion
- Independently manage recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and annual IT operational tasks
- Collaborate with the IT Director by offering technical insight, recommendations, and alternative solutions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration and infrastructure support
- A+ and Network+ Certifications preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support end users at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self‑motivated and organized.
- Ability to prioritize task, multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Sense of urgency.
- Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible.
