Role Description
As a Project Engineer at Intelice Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation and delivery of IT projects for our clients. You will work closely with our clients, project manager, and technical teams to design, deploy, and manage IT solutions that meet the unique needs and objectives of each project. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Project Planning and Design
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
- Design comprehensive IT solutions based on client needs, industry best practices, and technical feasibility.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Implementation and Deployment
- Execute project plans by configuring, installing, and testing IT infrastructure and systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless deployment and integration of technology solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve challenges encountered during implementation.
- Technical Expertise
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on various IT solutions, including networking, cloud computing, cyber security, and hardware/software systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering recommendations and insights to optimize their IT infrastructure and operations.
- Address client concerns and inquiries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of project specifications, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on project progress, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the initial plan.
- Ensure all project documentation adheres to company standards and compliance requirements.
- Provide support for current or recently implemented projects that may require T3 escalation.
- Assist solution engineer / sales team with technical expertise and level of effort in order to draft solution proposals.
- Provide coverage for Project Ops Manager when on PTO or unavailable as needed.
- Research new products and alternative solutions that can enhance our product line and solution stack for Intelice
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in project engineering or similar roles, preferably in a managed service provider environment.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, system administration, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., MS 365, Azure).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Project management experience and certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are a plus.
- Industry certifications such asCCNA, CompTIA Network+, or MCSA/MCSE are desirable.
- Detail-Oriented: As a project engineer, you’ll be dealing with intricate tasks, timelines, and budgets. Paying attention to the smallest details is crucial for successful project execution. Whether it’s tracking progress, comparing actual costs to estimates, or identifying bottlenecks, your meticulousness matters.
- Effective Communicator: You’ll act as a bridge between clients, technical teams, and stakeholders. Clear communication is essential to ensure everyone is on the same page. You’ll translate client goals into technical terms and vice versa. Diplomacy and the ability to align expectations are key.
- Courage and Flexibility: Projects rarely go exactly as planned. Adaptability and the courage to tackle unexpected challenges are essential. You’ll need to adjust timelines, address unforeseen issues, and keep things moving forward.

You’ll work closely with the Service Desk, NOC, SOC, Sales teams, and clients to deliver and support solutions.
