Job Description:
This position provides training and instruction for adult learners taking Technology courses in both open enrollment and contract training situations. This position requires subject matter expertise on topics related to programming, web development, computer applications etc. The Information Technology Adjunct is responsible for the development and delivery of non-credit curriculum.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or three (3) years of additional related experience
- Three (3) years of experience in related field
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in desired area
- Two years of teaching experience with adult learners
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of People Soft and Blackboard learning management systems
- Experience in a higher educational environment
- Exposure to current educational practices for student learning
- Ability to learn and remain current about Workforce Development
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Ability to use varying styles, approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi-cultural workplace
