Position Summary:
This position provides instruction to students who are preparing to enter or are already a member of the skilled trades workforce. This position will provide instruction using one or more of the following methods, depending on the assigned course: lecture, hands‑on labs, and distance learning technology (online video lectures, quizzes, etc.). Course outcomes vary from entry‑level employment preparation to professional development.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications
- Industry license or certificate in area of expertise
- Previous experience teaching adult learners
- Experience using computers and associated technology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi‑cultural workplace
