Architectural Designer

Objectives

To provide design and documentation support for various Wormald Companies’ projects, including single-family and multi‑family residential.

• Developing designs in a collaborative process.
• Permitting and Construction Documents
• Energy Tabulations (Rescheck, etc…)
• Building Footprints
• Strip plans and elevations
• Coordination with Civil engineers, Site superintendents, designers, suppliers, sales and accounting professionals.
• Resolving issues from the field

• 4+ years of experience
• Experience with residential design or construction
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
• Hard working with good time‑management skills.
• Responsive to time pressures. Self‑motivated and doesn’t need to be micro‑managed.
• Able to juggle a variety of tasks and prioritize as needed to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Good communication skills via email, conversation and graphics.
• The ability to explore ideas quickly, by sketch or other means
• Commitment to collaboration, shared knowledge and efficiency
• Be willing to do any task at any time with a good attitude. No task is below any person at The Wormald Companies, including Directors.

$65,000–$85,000 depending on experience. Flexible work arrangements (remote, part‑time, etc…) will be considered as warranted.
