Job Summary

The Bio Box - Cold Chain Operations Supervisor at McKesson Corporation will lead and oversee all aspects of our cold chain logistics operations for Bio Box products during the overnight shift. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of temperature‑sensitive biological materials, maintaining product integrity and meeting critical delivery schedules.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of cold chain associates, including training, performance management, scheduling, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and manage cold chain equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, and temperature‑controlled packaging, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with established temperature ranges.
  • Implement and enforce all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to cold chain handling, storage, packing, and shipping of biological materials.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely receipt, inventory management, and dispatch of Bio Box products, utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
  • Conduct regular temperature monitoring, data logging, and record‑keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve any temperature excursions, product damage, or operational issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Customer Service) to ensure seamless cold chain operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, DOT).
  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance, key metrics, and any incidents or non‑conformances.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the cold chain operations.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven experience specifically within cold chain logistics or handling of temperature‑sensitive products (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biologicals, food).
  • Strong understanding of cold chain principles, temperature monitoring technologies, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDP, GMP).
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to work the designated shift:
    Monday - Friday, 9:00 PM - 5:45 AM.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
