Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate have analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities- Record transactions accurately and reconcile accounts of various clients monthly.
- Identify and address outstanding transactions identified in credit card and bank reconciliations.
- Process bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll for various clients and file payroll returns on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Process bills and bill payments.
- Provide collection services on open receivables and evaluate open payable accounts
- Evaluate work done by clients or themselves to identify issues and correct them
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
- Provide value added comments to clients regarding financial results as displayed on financial package prepare for client.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and word
- Proficient in Quick Books desktop and online software.
- Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and client interactions
- Consistently produce error-free financial reports within deadlines
- Maintain a 100% accuracy rate in recording and reconciling financial transactions
- Apply learned skills to similar situations successfully
- Ability to learn from mistakes and take corrective action to avoid repeating them
- Exhibit proactive communication to address potential financial discrepancies promptly
- Demonstrate reliability by adhering to deadlines and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members by providing professional and courteous service.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
- 2 - 5 years' experience in bookkeeping
- Cross training is available with other areas such as tax and attest services provided by the firm.
