Summary

We’re looking for a motivated, independent thinker to take charge of field management across landscape, irrigation and reclamation maintenance projects. This role blends hands-on technical fieldwork with project management support. The right candidate will be a proactive leader who can manage multiple crews, juggle priorities, and solve problems without constant supervision. The position will report to WSRs irrigation and maintenance manager.

• Project Oversight:
  Manage multiple large-scale landscape and restoration maintenance projects.
• Crew & Resource Management:
  Oversee multiple field teams and allocate labor, equipment, and materials across job sites.
• Irrigation Expertise:
  Program and maintain a variety of controllers (Toro Sentinel DXI, Rainbird, Hunter ACC, Weather
  
  TRAK). Handle repairs, scheduling, and system troubleshooting. Profecient with understanding precipitation rates and distribution uniformity.
• Plan Reading & Material Takeoffs:
  Read and understand landscape/irrigation plans. Generate material lists and complete as-builts.
• Maintenance Oversight:
  Monitor site conditions, spot issues early, and keep work moving smoothly across a wide geographic area.
• Budget & Scheduling:
  Build and track budgets, manage project schedules, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Client Communication:
  Build strong client relationships and respond to concerns quickly and professionally.
• Documentation:
  Keep accurate records of progress, costs, materials, and compliance.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Identify and implement ways to improve operations, reduce costs, and boost efficiency.

• Experience managing maintenance clients and projects
• Strong hands-on irrigation skills: programming, repair, and system design
• Ability to read plans, complete takeoffs, and lead crews
• Organized, reliable, and capable of managing work independently
• Knowledge of plant and weed  a plus (applicator license helpful)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus
