Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic teachers committed to excellence and ready to work in a dynamic part of Scotland. The role involves leading and managing a team of teaching staff within the school and assigned curricular areas, supporting and delivering quality education to assigned pupils, and contributing to the furtherance of the school’s aims and values: learning, personal responsibility, respect for self and others, maximising attainment, achievement, and responsible social attitudes.

Fixed term not exceeding 25 October 2026. The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the Organisation.

• Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; preferred candidate must join or update PVG Scheme. Overseas Criminal Record Check required for those who spent 3 + months outside the UK in the last 5 years.
• Salary in accordance with SNCT agreements; applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
• Post grade may change; promoted teaching posts are resized annually in line with the SNCT Handbook, effective from 1 August each year.
• Minimum one reference from current or most recent employer.
