CNC OD Grind Operator

Long Description

Responsibilities:

* Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications

* Set up and and operate CNC OD and  equipment with minimal supervision on a Studer grinding machine.

* Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications

* Grind of spline shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001" - .0005"

* Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and participate in certified operator program.

* Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages and amps

* Perform in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges.

* Perform operator maintenance.

* Perform the required measurements to assure product quality

* Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* Mechanical aptitude a plus

* Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments

* Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T

* Experience using Studer OD Grinder, FANUC controls using G code

* Blueprint reading skills

* Shop math skills

* Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required.

* Ability to utilize visual comparator and Precision Gear Check Equipment
