Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
DescriptionPay Rate: $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per company policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, view Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in using personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand and walk during the shift; use hands and fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; speak and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product;
prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Retail store environment; limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming; adhere to retailer dress code requirements.

English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required.
