Overview
Position summary and responsibilities as described in the original job description. This role supports supervision of associates, safety, ecommerce program operations (including Club Pickup and Ship From Club), customer service, merchandising, process improvement, compliance, and team leadership within Sam's Club.
Responsibilities- Assist management with supervision of associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, and training associates on processes and procedures.
- Provide direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member concerns are resolved according to company guidelines; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; support the Open Door Policy; participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching and evaluating associates.
- Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Support the Sams Club ecommerce plan by overseeing ecommerce operations (e.g., Club Pick Up, Ship From Club), auditing online customer feedback, resolving customer complaints, identifying trends, and assisting management with solutions.
- Supervise associates supporting ecommerce programs by training, providing resources, assigning duties, providing feedback, communicating goals, and ensuring coverage at the ecommerce pickup location.
- Execute the Sams Club Pickup plan and processes by updating operations with key performance indicators, auditing customer orders for accuracy, ensuring equipment availability, and maintaining awareness of pickup strategy and execution goals.
- Evaluate performance and processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support development of new metrics; leverage current metrics to assess CPU effectiveness and guide improvements.
- Lead projects to improve CPU efficiencies by leveraging KPIs and leadership insight, modeling appropriate picking and loading, and communicating across teams to ensure proper staffing and continuous improvement.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation per policy by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, organizing displays, pricing, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile or high-shrink merchandise.
- Oversee picking and staging of club pickup orders to ensure correct selection and staging in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze information and monitor progress to identify improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; explain and apply these in business processes; assist management with addressing ethics and compliance issues under the Open Door Policy.
- Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, assessing customer needs and business priorities, and providing feedback to ensure timelines and quality; model adaptability to change and new challenges.
