Lead Event Specialist Part Time

Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of the products represented, serves and demonstrates to consumers, intercepts shoppers, and sells products in a professional manner. The role includes responsibility for the event execution equipment in the stores and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

• Manage and maintain the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean, secured and stored in the agreed upon back‑room area.
• When the Supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events.
• Serve as the point person for all events conducted in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with kits, materials and tools as needed.
• Provide leadership and knowledge to the team.
• Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact with and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Assist or perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
• Communicate the features and benefits of the product effectively.
• Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce and eggs, in compliance with food‑safety guidelines.
• Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives to prepare food samples.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Complete all assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per company policy.
• Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Takes digital photos of the perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer

Skills:

Proficient ability to use a personal computer and mobile device with applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Food Safety Professional Certification; local food‑handler permit if required.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms (including overhead), talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (including use of a 6‑ft ladder), balance, lift and carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, prepare foods using raw products, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Will be the point of contact when the Supervisor is absent.

Working Conditions: Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance: A neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance is required. Retailer dress code requirements are provided in training documents.
