Merchandise and Stocking Associate

$17.00/hr - $24.00/hr

The merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sam’s Club members by ensuring products are easy to find, stocked, and presented in a neat, member-ready environment. Depending on the shift, duties may include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, stocking shelves, and assisting members. The role can be physically demanding, including frequent lifting and being on feet for extended periods.

• Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; guiding and supporting members regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; and promoting products and services.
• Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety checks; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials as required; and reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning the area; stocking and organizing merchandise; setting up displays; removing damaged goods; pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile or high-shrink items.
• Monitors product quality and rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; ensures prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Completes work assignments by coordinating with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; prioritizing tasks; tracking progress; and adapting to changes and feedback.
• Ensures club pick-up orders are filled and staged according to policy and procedures.
