Quality Technician – Piney Flats, TN. ( 125 Corrugated Lane) 1st Shift

We are seeking detailed oriented, safety minded and highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Quality Technician in the Piney Flats/125 Corrugated Lane location.. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; following procedures to safely meet customer expectations, complete required paperwork accurately, monitoring results and ensuring the quality of material and final products before leaving the work area.

• Inspect bags coming off bag machines for defects such as loose/torn edges or wrinkles, missing or misapplied adhesive, misprinted bags, color variations and inaccurate registration or ink smears
• Reviews Spec Sheets to determine if the bags are meeting the customer specifications
• Ensures proper documentation on all customer returns through final disposition
• Completes receiving inspection
• Conducts Quality Tests as required
• Works with plant personnel to prevent rejects from reoccurring
• Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by supervisor and/or manager
• Continuous learning and willingness to seek personal growth
• Demonstrates attention to detail
• Supports SQF Certification
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

These skills must be specified on the candidates resume in order to be considered for this position:

• Knowledge of bag making; quality products, customer requirements, etc.
• Possess strong communication skills with the ability to train others
• Knowledge and application of SPC/Standard Deviation is a plus
• Microsoft Office is a plus (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Possess a positive can do attitude, demonstrating a proactive instead of reactive approach
• Possess a willingness to learn and seek personal growth
• Detail oriented
• Ability to stoop, bend and twist repetitively
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs
• Ability to stand on feet 8 hours per day
