Employment Practices ParalegalThe Employment Practices Paralegal supports the company’s employment litigation and claims management. This role drafts responses to EEOC and state claims, attorney demand letters, and subpoenas while coordinating with local counsel and internal partners. The paralegal manages discovery requests, maintains claims databases, and ensures deadlines are met. Additional duties include processing settlement payments, vendor invoices, and severance agreements. Travel may be required to support employment litigation and claims functions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide paralegal and administrative support for employment litigation, claims, and discovery processes.
- Coordinate with local counsel, insurance adjusters, and third‑party administrators for employment lawsuits.
- Manage claims reporting, databases, and calendars to ensure compliance with deadlines and procedures.
- Prepare and process subpoenas, settlement agreements, severance agreements, and payment requests.
- Support immigration inquiries, vendor coordination, and other litigation‑related administrative duties.
EDUCATION
- Relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in firm, insurance defense, and health care settings
- Strong technology skills in Word, Excel, and databases
- Strong general research skills using the internet
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Paralegal certificate or related experience required
