The Role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Leader to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops practices, and platform reliability that power the Hub Sync product.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will lead a team of infrastructure and Dev Ops engineers and be responsible for the availability, scalability, security, and performance of our AWS-based platform. This is a high-impact leadership role at a company experiencing rapid growth—you’ll have the autonomy to shape infrastructure strategy and build the systems that allow Hub Sync to scale confidently.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of infrastructure and Dev Ops engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of Hub Sync’s AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability for our SaaS platform and the CPA firms that depend on it.
  • Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap, aligning investments with product growth, security requirements, and cost optimization goals.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, managing cloud resources through automated, version-controlled deployments (e.g., Cloud Formation, Terraform, Serverless Framework).
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, JFrog Artifactory) to ensure fast, safe, and reliable software delivery across all environments.
  • Drive observability and monitoring strategy, ensuring the team has the tools and processes to detect, respond to, and learn from incidents (NOC operations, alerting, on-call rotations, postmortems).
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to ensure infrastructure supports feature velocity while maintaining compliance and data protection standards.
  • Manage container orchestration and microservices infrastructure, including Docker-based build and deployment workflows.
  • Own cost management and optimization of cloud spend, providing visibility and accountability across AWS services (compute, storage, messaging, networking).
  • Establish and enforce security best practices across infrastructure, including encryption (KMS), IAM policies, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including multi-region strategies and failover testing.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, Dev Ops, or site reliability engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, Cloud Front, Route 53, VPC, IAM, KMS, Cloud Watch).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or the Serverless Framework.
  • Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines at scale using tools like Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and artifact management (JFrog Artifactory, ECR).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Experience managing NOC or on-call operations, incident response, and establishing SLA/SLO frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A builder’s mindset—you thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in SaaS or fintech environments, particularly with platforms serving regulated industries (accounting, financial services).
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other compliance frameworks relevant to financial data.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Event Bridge) and serverless computing.
  • • Background in database administration and performance tuning (Postgre

    SQL, MySQL, Dynamo

    DB).
  • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and supporting data-intensive workloads.
Why Hub Sync
  • High-impact role at a company experiencing 744% revenue growth (2020–2024) with strong profitability.
  • Backed by Thoma Bravo with over $100M in investment—serious resources to build world-class infrastructure.
  • Work alongside a passionate team of industry veterans who understand the problem space deeply.
  • Shape the infrastructure strategy from the ground up as we scale to serve the largest CPA firms in the country.
  • Headquarters in Franklin, TN—a vibrant, growing community just outside Nashville.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, benefits, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a rapidly growing platform.

Hub Sync is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
