Integration Engineer; Mirth & Intersystems

Overview

TEKsystems Client is seeking a Intersystems Integration Engineer to assist with analysis, design, development, and support of complex system interfaces within a healthcare environment. This individual will ultimately be responsible with Intersystems (Health Connect, Health Share, Ensemble) needs inside a healthcare environment. Present day needs require experience with Mirth, that will be the current focus of work until integration in late 2026/early 2027.

• Assist with analysis, design, development, and support of complex system interfaces within a healthcare environment.
• Work with Intersystems (Health Connect, Health Share, Ensemble) needs inside a healthcare environment.
• Focus on Mirth Connect integration until integration in late 2026/early 2027.
• Contribute to a 24x7 on‑call rotation (limited needs).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 8+ years of hands‑on integration engine experience in a healthcare integration environment.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Mirth Connect experience in a healthcare integration environment.
• Strong working knowledge of HL7 v2.x, FHIR, CCD/CDA, and interfacing protocols.
• At least 2 years of experience with Inter Systems Health Share (Health Connect or Ensemble).
• Experience supporting production interfaces in mission‑critical hospital or HIE environments.
• Familiarity with EMRs such as Cerner, Athena, Medhost, or Epic.
• Basic scripting experience (JavaScript, XSLT, or Python preferred).

• Experience with cloud‑based integration (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
• Familiarity with Carequality/Common Well networks, immunization registries, and HIE frameworks.
• Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare compliance.

• Can sit fully remote outside of these restricted states:
  California, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, Maine, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington.
• People who have worked at Inter Systems Corp would be a great fit.
