How You Make a DifferenceThe Supervisor of Payroll Operations oversees the daily activities of the payroll department, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. They also establish controls to ensure payroll compliance and supervise the assigned payroll staff. In addition, the Supervisor of Payroll Operations is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervises assigned payroll staff, determines work priorities and schedules, and monitors work quantity and quality.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for optimal payroll processing and compliance with regulations.
- Resolves payroll processing issues and collaborates with other departments to ensure effective resolution of employee issues.
- Ensures operational compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Develops the skills and knowledge of the payroll staff and maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience5 years progressive experience in a related field required.
Licenses/CertificationsCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
