A well-established, publicly traded organization in the advanced manufacturing space is seeking a Senior Tax Compliance Accountant to join its corporate tax team. This role sits at the center of federal and multi-state income tax compliance, partnering closely with accounting, finance, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory alignment. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor on tax matters
, contribute to providing work, and support strategic tax initiatives across the enterprise. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys technical depth, ownership, and visibility within a stable, growth-oriented organization.
Income Tax Compliance (~60%)
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns
- Support international informational filings and related disclosures
- Calculate quarterly estimates and annual extensions
- Analyze and document book-to-tax differences and accounting methods
Audit & Regulatory Support (~15%)
- Assist with federal and state tax examinations
- Draft responses to taxing authority inquiries
- Coordinate documentation across finance and operational teams
Tax Provision Support (~15%)
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision processes
- Apply ASC 740 and related accounting guidance
- Model blended state rates and NOL utilization forecasts
- Support SOX compliance within the tax function
Projects & Research (~10%)
- Participate in planning, automation, and process improvement initiatives
- Support sales/use tax research and exemption documentation
- Perform technical tax research and analysis for non-routine transactions
- 3+ years of corporate or public accounting tax experience with strong exposure to U.S. income tax compliance
- Solid understanding of GAAP, ASC 740, and corporate tax reporting
- Experience with multi-entity or consolidated environments
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with tax compliance software (any major platform)
- Ability to meet deadlines in a structured, fast-moving reporting cycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or Master’s in Taxation
- Exposure to publicly traded or manufacturing environments
