Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Brentwood/Cool Springs, TN (100% in office)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a busy finance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a variety of AP processes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Process invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or issues with internal teams.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, or supporting documentation.
- Enter invoices and payment information into AP and document management systems.
- Manage manual invoices and miscellaneous payment postings as needed.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and AP-related reconciliations.
- Support internal stakeholders with inquiries and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.
- 3–5 years of accounts payable experience or similar finance role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and AP-related software; experience with document management systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Professional communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
