The Financial Reporting Manager plays a key role in overseeing the daily and monthly operations of the financial reporting function. This position is responsible for general accounting and reporting activities, including the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of key general ledger accounts and financial statements such as the balance sheet, income statement, and capital expenditure reports. The role ensures that all financial data is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
FixedAssets Management and Consolidation
- Supervise and review the work of the Fixed Asset Senior Accountant to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to capitalization and depreciation policies.
- Prepare and maintain the company’s consolidated fixed asset roll‑forward and capital expenditure schedules for both management review and audit purposes.
- Direct accounting and reporting activities for Acadia’s joint ventures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company‑specific accounting policies.
- Partner with internal departments to provide timely and accurate reporting for both internal stakeholders and joint venture partners.
- Manage and review accounting processes for Acadia’s self‑insured captive, including the preparation and analysis of professional liability, general liability, and workers’ compensation schedules.
- Collaborate closely with actuarial, risk management, and related teams to validate assumptions and ensure accurate reserve reporting.
- Prepare and review supporting schedules used in quarterly, annual, and other SEC filings.
- Maintain and update GAAP disclosure checklists to confirm all required financial statement disclosures are complete and accurate.
- Perform ad hoc accounting research, analysis, and other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Builds and sustains cooperative, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and open communication across departments.
- Maintains dependable, regular attendance and meets established deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of general office procedures and comfort with standard office equipment.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive or confidential financial information with discretion.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Sound judgment and the ability to appropriately escalate or route inquiries as needed.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities within strict timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and operate within established procedures and standards.
- Must possess strong English communication skills for both written and verbal tasks.
