Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.

Director, Marketing at Provident Entertainment will lead the marketing and branding direction for our roster of artists and songs by developing innovative and effective marketing campaigns. You will develop a creative vision and strategy for your assigned artist roster, with a focus on increasing music consumption, fan engagement, and audience development. This role supports a roster of 8–10 artists across the Provident Entertainment catalog, including contemporary Christian, gospel, R&B, and worship.

The role involves interaction with senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the branding strategy for assigned artists and projects, with ongoing analysis of market conditions and marketing plan effectiveness.
  • Create dialogue and collaborate with internal teams to design consumer-focused campaigns that support growth of songs and artists.
  • Oversee strategic use of marketing resources including budgets and in-house creative assets.
  • Act as primary marketing liaison for the artist roster to internal teams and external partners, and lead effective meetings that produce strategies and collaboration.
  • Design strategy for assigned artists with consistent release planning, marketing campaigns, and touring.
  • Strategize release planning and anticipate project needs in advance of deadlines.
  • Research and apply unique marketing opportunities to support an artist brand.
Who you are:
  • A people, idea, and opportunity connector in the Christian / Gospel / Worship music industry with at least 5 years of marketing and branding experience (preferably at a label).
  • A team player with experience in Christian/Gospel/Worship music and the ability to work with artists in various genres.
  • A creative trust builder with strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of strategic thinking and goal-driven planning.
  • An agile thinker who can adapt priorities and approaches as needed.
  • An enthusiastic collaborator with campaign oversight and team leadership experience, able to lead meetings and influence partners.
  • A motivating leader who can unite teams and explore new opportunities.
What we give you:
  • An inclusive, collaborative, global community to channel your passion daily.
  • A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K + employer matching.
  • Voluntary benefits and resources for wellbeing, family planning, caregiving, and professional development.
  • Investment in your growth to thrive in our vibrant community.
  • Time off and supportive policies to accelerate progress and create what happens next.
