We are seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support and maintain enterprise data center environments across two colocation facilities. This is a highly technical role focused on physical server support, virtualization, patching, and enterprise platform operations — including an ongoing transition from VMware to Nutanix.
This is not a purely architectural role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the data center, working directly with hardware, supporting live environments, and owning patching and infrastructure operations end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities- Server patching and physical hardware maintenance
- Memory and card swaps
- On‑site support in colocation facilities
- Physical server builds and troubleshooting
- Support and maintain VMware 8 environments, including:
- Managing and supporting existing workloads
- Assisting with migration efforts into a Nutanix platform
- Provision and administer Windows Server environments, including:
- Server builds and provisioning
- Domain management, permissions, and storage configuration
- Enterprise OS and third‑party application patching
- Compute, storage, and virtualization platforms
- Multiple physical and virtual environments across two data centers
- Provide troubleshooting across hardware, hypervisor, OS, and infrastructure layers
- Support scheduled and off‑hours maintenance windows for patching and upgrades
- Hands‑on data centre operations and hardware support experience
- Strong VMware administration experience (v8 preferred)
- Windows Server administration in enterprise environments
- Enterprise patching experience (OS + third‑party applications)
- Experience building servers, provisioning storage, and supporting multi‑site infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and UCS platforms
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS servers
- Experience supporting or migrating workloads into Nutanix environments
- Experience working in colocation environments
- Flexibility to support off‑hours patching and maintenance
