Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex medical and electro-mechanical equipment
- Support installation, commissioning, and operational verification of equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and system-level issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Complete accurate service documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Collaborate with clinical staff, biomedical teams, and technical leadership to ensure equipment uptime and safety
- Follow all safety, regulatory, and quality protocols in a clinical environment
- Provide technical support and respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Travel as needed to support service operations in Orlando, Knoxville, and Nashville locations
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Clean criminal background (past 5 years)
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Willingness to travel occasionally (Knoxville, TN and Nashville, TN)
- Ability to work early shift (4:00 AM – 12:30 PM, M–F) with possible overtime and sporadic weekends
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation
- Field Service Engineer (medical device, imaging, or industrial equipment)
- Electro-mechanical or Electrical Technician
- Military electronics or technical maintenance experience
- Medical device, imaging systems, or complex equipment service experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in regulated environments
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field preferred
- OR equivalent hands-on technical experience in field service, biomedical equipment, automation, or industrial maintenance
- Entry-level and experienced candidates considered (training provided for the right technical background)
- Clinical and technical healthcare settings
- Hands-on technical service role requiring standing, walking, lifting equipment, and working with tools
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with high standards for safety and reliability
