The Emergency Medicine Physician is responsible for providing high-quality, timely medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage high-acuity cases, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of emergent medical conditions.
• Perform medical screening examinations and stabilize patients in critical condition.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
• Perform emergency procedures and initiate life-saving interventions as required.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with best practices.
• Collaborate with consulting physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to patients and families.
• Comply with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Rapid assessment and decision-making
• Critical care and trauma management
• Diagnostic interpretation
• Procedural proficiency
• Effective communication and teamwork

• Experience in high-volume emergency departments
• Ultrasound-guided procedures
• Leadership or mentoring experience
• Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
• Ability to obtain Tennessee (TN) Medical Licensure in Emergency Medicine
• DEA certification and ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (as applicable)
