Williamson County General Sessions Court is accepting applications for a full-time Judge’s Courtroom Assistant. A Judge’s Courtroom Assistant is the judicial assistant to one of the presiding Williamson County General Sessions Court Judge and completes various support services for court proceedings and other judicial and administrative functions. Such duties and responsibilities may include but are not exclusive:

• Review the Judge’s dockets for accuracy, communicate with attorneys regarding schedules and documents.
• Assist in the coordination of case flow.
• Opening Court and calling the Court to order.
• Maintaining order in the Court.
• Calling the Court's docket.
• Assisting the Judge with the flow of evidence.

A person in this position must be able to multi‑task, complete tasks in a timely manner, and be organized. Must be able to assist the Judge in a fast‑paced environment. May be required to work later hours on occasion. Must be comfortable speaking in front of a large crowd. Must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally; communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must.

Basic computer knowledge of various software programs preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
