Fix Group Management, a thriving family-owned business specializing in automotive repair, is looking for an experienced and driven Body Shop Accountant to support our growing network of collision and body shop locations. Our core mission is simple: to provide a better life for both our employees and customers.

This role is designed for someone who has real, hands-on body shop experience - someone who understands how shops actually run, not just how accounting works on paper. To thrive in this role, you must be self-motivated, operationally minded, eager to lead, and ready to help build strong accounting structure within a fun, collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Manage accounting functions specific to body shop operations
  • Oversee revenue, parts, labor, sublet, supplements, and insurance-related financial workflows
  • Reconcile repair orders, estimates, and financial data between shop systems and accounting systems
  • Work directly within CCC (CCC One) or similar estimating/management platforms
  • Ensure accurate integration between CCC and accounting software
  • Perform reconciliations for AR, AP, deposits, and insurance receivables
  • Support month-end and year-end close for body shop entities
  • Prepare and review financial reports for shop leadership and management
  • Identify discrepancies and operational gaps between shop activity and financial reporting
  • Partner with operations teams to improve financial processes and controls
  • Develop and document standardized accounting procedures for body shop locations
  • Train, mentor, and support staff accountants
  • Review work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Assist Accounting Manager & Controller with projects, reporting, and process improvements
  • Exhibit a team-first mindset and jump in wherever needed
Education and/or

Experience:
  • Prior body shop / collision repair accounting experience (strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of body shop workflows (ROs, estimates, supplements, insurance billing, parts, labor, sublet)
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with multi-location or multi-entity operations
  • CCC (CCC One) experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in accounting systems and financial software (Net Suite or Quick Books a plus)
  • Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills
  • Experience training or developing accounting staff
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
Employees on our team are successful because they possess the following:
  • Knowledgeable. You must have an excellent understanding of accounting & bookkeeping best practices (GAAP). The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or a closely related field such as finance, business or economics, though this isn't strictly required.
  • Highly organized. This role will require you to juggle the needs and deadlines for more than one entity. You must be able to pick up where you left off should you get pulled to a different task. Someone else should be able to look at your work and know where to pick up if you were to be out of the office.
  • Integrity. The work we do requires the highest levels of ethics and integrity. The right candidate is doing the right thing even when no one's looking.
  • Go the extra mile. We are a "do whatever it takes company". We don't do the bare minimum. Whether it is in your own work or helping others, always go above and beyond for yourself and your team.
  • Do it right the first time. Because who has time to go back and fix it?
  • Have Fun. Yes, we like to enjoy ourselves! We have a good time while getting the job done. The right person for this position will be able to "click" with our culture.
  • An eye for detail. The ideal candidate takes the details seriously and doesn’t take shortcuts. Completing your work in a quick manner doesn't always indicate accuracy or efficiency. You will be reviewing financial statements and…
