Capstone Group (), a growing commercial real estate investment firm headquartered in Franklin, TN, is seeking a Real Estate Bookkeeper to perform day-to-day accounting operations and property management across a portfolio of commercial properties. Capstone was formed in 2001 and has owned and operated commercial properties throughout the U.S.
This is a full-time in-office, high-ownership role—for AP/AR, CAM reconciliations, reporting, payroll , property management and planning working directly with senior management. Ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility as the go-to person and wants to grow and learn about all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, financing and management, but has long-term stability within a high performance, entrepreneurial team.
Responsibilities:- Accounts payable & accounts receivable (including tenant rent collection)
- Bank reconciliations & account reconciliations
- Monthly reporting: cash balances, budget vs. actual
- CAM reconciliations, property tax, and insurance statements
- Lease Administration/Property Management
- Lender and investor reporting support
- Payroll processing & HR administration (401k, benefits, employee files)
- Liaison with outside CPA for tax preparation
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Tremendous attention to detail. Thrives on details and “digging in”
- Self-starter—Very curious and investigative
- Property management software experience strongly preferred (Rent Manager, Yardi, App Folio, MRI, Buildium, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, math or hard science preferred
- Looking for a long-term fit — not a stepping stone
Onsite – Franklin, TN $60,000 – $80,000
