Description:
The clinical nurse functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of nursing.
The clinical nurse is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice.
The clinical nurse demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
The clinical nurse coordinates and directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
The clinical nurse is accountable for compliance with the applicable regulatory standards and institutional policies and procedures.
The clinical nurse provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients, families, and significant others.
The clinical nurse is responsible for knowledge and implementation of the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
The position requires the ability to adapt to a changing environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
The clinical nurse may be assigned charge nurse duties as required.
Experience with various surgical procedures is preferred, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and urology procedures.
Floating between facilities may be required based on operational needs.
Call responsibilities include a minimum of 1-2 days a week and one weekend per month.
