Overview
Summary Of Position: A Medical Assistant for the Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.
Facility: Middletown Cardiology Associates
Hours: FT / DAYS / 80 hours per pay
Summary Of Position: A Medical Assistant for the Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Nature and ScopeIndependently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.
Responsibilities- Room patients and collect vitals as part of clinical workflow.
- Perform or assist with pulmonary function tests, injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound care, hearing and vision tests, and related duties as assigned.
- Support practice management and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and service.
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred.
- Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
- Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
- CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
