The Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within our durable goods manufacturing facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all areas are kept in optimal condition, which directly impacts the efficiency and productivity of our operations. The Custodian will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that contribute to the overall health and safety of our workplace.

By adhering to safety rules and following both oral and written instructions, the Custodian helps to create a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and visitors. • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and cleaning instructions.
• Experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for special events or meetings as needed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to maintain cleanliness standards.

The required skills for this position, such as balancing and performing repetitive motions, are essential for executing daily cleaning tasks efficiently. The ability to read and interpret documents ensures that the Custodian can follow safety protocols and cleaning instructions accurately. Skills in basic arithmetic, such as adding and subtracting two‑digit numbers, may be necessary for inventory management of cleaning supplies.
