The Laboratory Technician will include supporting daily/nightly extraction processes by preparing extraction material. Demonstrates accuracy thoroughness to improve and promote quality. Maintains a safe and compliant lab environment. They will fear no barrier in the pursuit of ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, enforcing quality standards, reporting production issues, being a strong teammate, and effectively producing products for the manufacturing team.

WHATYOU WILL BE DOING
- Responsible for day‑to‑day extraction processes and concentrate production including whipping, filtering, rotary evaporation, speed mixing, and distillation.
- Follow Extraction standard operating procedures with safety as the highest importance.
- Maintain accurate and up to date solvent usage and run logs at all times.
- Demonstrate accuracy in production and maintain operational compliance.
- Review and follow safety and quality control requirements.
- Set up, extract in tandem or with supervision, and break down extraction systems with oversight of Lab Manager.
- Assist with extraction processes as needed by Lab Manager.
- Accurately produce and keep logs on machines that produce Crude Oils, Distillate, Waxes, Shatter, Badders, and other concentrate products.
- Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring functional equipment and work area at all times.
- Communicate all perceived issues, maintenance needs, troubleshooting, and out‑of‑scope wants or needs clearly to extraction manager.
- Complete other temporarily needed tasks as assigned by extraction manager.
Required
- Age 21 or over
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government‑Issued Photo
Preferred
- Knowledge of ETS/EFR ethanol extraction equipment or similar
- Knowledge of Root Science, VTA, VKS Distillation Equipment or similar
- Cannabis Ethanol extraction experience
- Mechanically minded with strengths in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Technical proficiency in MS Office, strong organizational and time management skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in analytical quality management, including QA/QC methods
- Familiarity with quality control, policy and procedure and documentation
- Familiarity with Metrc, Dutchie, or other cannabis tracking software
- Ability to multitask and work as part of a cohesive team
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment without regular sensitivity to noise or smells
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Maintain attention to detail for at least 8 hours per day
- Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop continuously
- Lift 60 pounds unassisted or up to 80 pounds assisted
