• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Operate primary and high-end machinery including set-up and complete programming with editing ability to produce complex, non-routine parts and components.
• Perform assignments involving machining of surfaces at unusual or compound angles, items that require different or compound indexing; multiple lead and various other non-standard screw threads; helical or other types of gears, worm threads; or surfaces closely interrelated dimensions or complex configurations that usually require special adaptation or extension of the use of conventional machine tools.
• Perform machining operations on CNC machine tools including shop floor programming, multiple setups, in-place machining of fixtures, debugging first‑run programs and making or suggesting changes to machine tool programs.

• CNC Machinist Level 3 or 4.
• Experience with Kiwa and Okuma, Fanuc and Okuma controls.
• Ability to set up and operate horizontal and vertical, also 5‑axis CNC machines.
• Experience with multi‑machine operation.
• Ability to understand Blueprints and GD&T.
• Fluent in using all types of measuring equipment from hand tools to CMM and optical comparators.
• Read and understand G and M codes.
• Ability to perform simple program edits as needed; must be able to set up complex jobs using work instructions or guides.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
