Job description:

Job Purpose: The Accounting Analyst will support the Kitchen department by performing daily tasks related to financial reporting, purchase order management, invoice verification, data entry, and vendor relations to ensure smooth operations. This is for a large national food distribution center located in Franklin, KY

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide daily volume, weekly, and monthly reports to the Accounting Analyst Supervisor.
• Ensure the purchase order process is adhered to by the Distribution Center (DC).
• Perform 3-way matching verification for the payment process of invoices.
• Order office supplies for the DC and act as the main contact for vendors.
• Standardize operational reports across all DCs to align with WCD, Inc. Administrative Office directives.
• Review staffing agency invoices for accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Analyst Supervisor, Operations Administrative Manager, and DC management at all levels.
• Manage extensive data entry projects.
• Handle payroll processing using Paychex software.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or an economics-related field.
• Some college courses in Accounting or Economics preferred, or equivalent experience.

Computer

Skills:

• Strong computer skills required, including proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office applications.

Reasoning Ability:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of DC operations and strong sense of teamwork.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional stair climbing may be required.

Work Environment:

• Work in a Distribution Center environment with varying temperatures.
