Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 60 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience within the past 3 years.
• 3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is required from last 12 months.
• 24 months of acute care experience within the past 3 years.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc).
- ICU experience with adult populations required.
- Must be willing to work with IMC/Progressive/General care populations as needed.
- Traveler must have experience in an Academic level 1 Trauma center.
- Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
- Burn ICU, CVICU, medical ICU, neuro ICU, surgical ICU, trauma ICU work settings; burns management including thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia); cardiovascular care including ECMO, care of patient on ECMO, CVP monitoring, IABP, Impella, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, post–cardiac surgery (not directly from OR), pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring; neurological care including external ventricular drain (EVD), post-craniotomy, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury;
cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure; endocrine/metabolic care including IV insulin protocols; genitourinary/renal including CVVHD/CRRT; IV therapy including accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs; medications including continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips;
respiratory/thoracic care including ventilated patient management, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure, suctioning (ETT, NT); professional knowledge including surgical wounds with drains/wound vac, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching Hospital Experience
- Burn ICU experience, ability to call out missing skills, screening for limited CRRT experience (Next Stage).
Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. xrlwcon
Special Requests: Holiday rotation
Shift & Scheduling:
- 8/12-hr shifts,
- Every other weekend, no call.
14 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
