HR Manager

A manufacturing company in Franklin Park is looking for a temporary-to-hire Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, change management, payroll, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. This role partners with leadership to support business goals while fostering a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.

• Execute talent actions related to organizational design, workforce planning, retention, and succession planning in partnership with leaders of assigned operational and/or functional groups.
• Support leaders and employees with questions and handle simple to moderately complex employee relations situations.
• Administer performance management processes and provide ongoing guidance to leaders.
• Drive company culture through positive interactions and plan and execute employee engagement activities to maintain a people‑focused company culture.
• Process weekly payroll, including review of hours, data entry of special pay or deductions, and transmission to the payroll processing company.
• Administer group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), etc.
• Maintain employee files and information in company systems for accurate and complete employee and position records.
• Participate in the implementation of change management plans, continuous improvement projects, and exercise influence over various partners within the company.
• Manage the full‑cycle recruitment process for assigned employee groups, including posting open jobs, direct sourcing of candidates, interviewing/evaluating candidates, and supporting hiring leaders and candidates while providing an exceptional candidate experience.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of related work experience, or high school diploma equivalent and 10+ years of related work experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HRIS systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
• Strong ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization (shop floor employees to executives).
• Working knowledge of local, state, federal labor laws and familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
• Strong business acumen.
• Bi‑lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
