Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

This position is a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer role based in Franklin Park, IL, reporting to the Global Supplier Quality Manager. The role is focused on ensuring procured components meet customer and print specifications while driving supplier performance and continuous improvement across both new product development and legacy production.

You’ll play a critical role in troubleshooting supplier-related production issues, leading cross-functional improvement initiatives, and supporting innovation projects from qualification through launch. • Create and maintain quality systems, testing protocols, and inspection activities to ensure compliance with specifications
• Lead and manage external corrective actions from issuance through verification of effectiveness
• Champion continuous improvement and standardization of incoming inspection processes
• Own and facilitate APQP activities including FMEA and PPAP within New Product Development
• Apply project management skills to ensure timely execution of innovation and renovation initiatives
• Participate in engineering change meetings to assess supplier impact and customer implications
• Track and analyze supplier performance metrics including defect rates, scrap trends, and Pareto analysis
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and production process evaluations (domestic and international)
• Lead root cause investigations and verify corrective action implementation to minimize line interruptions
• Collaborate with Quality Review Board and leverage CAPA to address customer dissatisfaction
• Direct work instructions for Inspectors, Technicians, and quality personnel
• Travel 10–20% domestically and internationally
