Position Title

Pool Attendant

Summary

Responsible for concession stand, admissions desk, monitoring the top of the slide and performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Upon entry, check all bags for any items not allowed into the facility.
  • Answer phones and check messages.
  • Answer questions from patrons regarding programs, facility hours, fees and anything else.
  • Handle admissions and concession transactions, while registering patrons for programs and pool passes.
  • Check in participants for programs.
  • Clean outside concession tables and chairs.
  • Maintain a clean concession stand (counters, machines, storage).
  • Store items orderly in closet, refrigerator or freezer.
  • Clean front desk, concession stand, pool deck and locker rooms.
  • Has the ability to perform the physical and cognitive skills necessary to achieve and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification.
  • Allow slide users to use feature when there is no danger of injuring another participant.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Safety And Risk Management
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all general agency and departmental-specific safety rules.
  • Uses material‑handling equipment or staff assistance when lifting and/or moving objects 50 lbs. or greater.
  • Promptly reports any work‑related or patron injuries to supervisor.
  • Attends required safety program and in‑service education meetings.
  • Corrects unsafe conditions and/or reports them to supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Must be 16 years old.
Education And/Or Experience

Less than High School Education.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, patrons and other employees.

Mathmatical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a standardized situation.
