Onsite/3 days at client site only if the candidate is located in NJ (Franklin Lakes and in around 100 kms/65 miles) if not remote.

Role OverviewThe Onsite Test Manager will lead all testing activities for the Manhattan WMS implementation at the Covington site. This role requires strong expertise in Manhattan WMOS / Manhattan Active WM, deep understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to manage complex integrations across ERP, TMS, and MHE systems. The Test Manager will define the testing strategy, coordinate test execution, manage offshore/onshore test teams, lead UAT with warehouse operations, drive defect governance, and ensure the WMS solution is validated for operational readiness ahead of go-live.
Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & PlanningDefine the end-to-end testing strategy for the Manhattan WMS implementation (WMOS/MAWM). Develop detailed plans for SIT, E2E, Integration, Regression, Performance, UAT & hypercare validation.
- Identify test scenarios across core Manhattan WMS modules:
- Receiving & ASN processing
- Putaway & Replenishment
- Picking (Wave/Batch/Cluster/Case/Pallet)
- Picking Optimization (SCI rules, Slotting)
- Packing, Cartonization, Palletization
- Shipping & Manifesting
- Labor Management (LMS - if in scope)
- Inventory Management & Cycle Counting
- RF-based workflows
- Ensure complete coverage of Manhattan OMS-WMS-TMS integrations (if applicable).
- Identify environment needs, test data creation, and configuration prerequisites.
- Act as the onsite coordinator between
- Warehouse operations
- Business SMEs
- Manhattan implementation partner
- Internal IT teams
- Offshore QA teams
- Facilitate daily standup calls, test reporting meetings & triage discussions.
- Ensure warehouse SMEs are fully enabled for UAT and operational testing.
- Oversee creation of test cases aligned to Manhattan WMS workflows and configuration.
- Ensure test data completeness:
- SKUs, item masters, pack types, pick locations, waves & rules
- MHE configuration
- Carriers and shipping labels
- Validate inbound and outbound flows:
- ASN receiving – Putaway – Replenishment
- Wave creation – Assignment – Picking – Packing – Ship confirmation
- Validate Manhattan WMS integration points with:
- ERP (SAP/Oracle/Infor/MS Dynamics)
- TMS (Manhattan/TMW/Blue Yonder/Oracle)
- MHE systems (conveyors, scanners, sorters, AS/RS, AGVs)
- Label printing systems (Zebra / Loftware)
- Lead onsite validation using RF guns & handhelds.
- Ensure all testing evidence, screenshots, logs, and workflow results are captured.
- Lead defect governance using JIRA / Azure Dev Ops / Client ALM / qTest.
- Prioritize defects based on business impact and severity.
- Work closely with Manhattan functional consultants & technical teams to resolve issues.
- Provide daily and weekly dashboards on quality metrics, risks, and progress.
- Coordinate with environment management teams to ensure:
- Manhattan WMS environment availability
- Integration layers (ESB, MQ, APIs) are functional
- MHE simulators or live lines are configured
- RF infrastructure is ready
- Oversee master data loads, mock waves, replenishment triggers, and slotting rules for test cycles.
- Support mock go-lives and cutover rehearsals.
- Validate all business-critical scenarios during go-live.
- Lead defect triage during hypercare.
- Ensure handover to operations and L2/L3 support teams.
- 8-12+ years in QA/Test Management.
- 4+ years experience with Manhattan WMS (WMOS / MAWM).
- Strong understanding of Manhattan architecture:
- DOM / SCI / WES (if used)
