Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a New Product - Staff Engineer for a key client. The company is a major player in the healthcare space and is well-recognized for the design and manufacture of high-quality life-saving products.

• Aid in the definition of manufacturing technology strategy for new products and product design changes
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Operations to influence product design through DFMA analysis and enable successful product launch to manufacturing (internal or external)
• Establish assembly requirements to ensure product quality, cost, and cycle time; implement process controls to ensure product quality and consistency
• Develop risk mitigation plans and pFMEA analysis
• Capture opportunities for existing assembly processes and identify areas for improvement and inclusion into future DFMA

• BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Product, Process)
• 10+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, product design, manufacturing operations
• Direct experience deploying/leading advanced assembly initiatives and coaching at the site level
• Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally (R&D, Engineering, Operations, Vendors)
• Direct experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace)

• MS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Product, Process)
• MBA
• PMP certification
