Public Works Tech - Seasonal – Street Department (Manufacturing) POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of construction, maintenance and cleaning duties; performs related work as required.

• Assists in installing, constructing, repairing and/or cleaning City buildings, streets and roads, flood walls, sidewalks, storm sewers, culverts, catch basins, man-holes, drainage ditches, street signs, barricades, guard rails, etc.
• Paints curbs and parking lines.
• Mows grass; collects leaves; cuts weeds, trees and tree limbs.
• Assists in salting/sanding streets and roads; removes snow.
• Assists in pouring concrete and making forms.
• Performs general construction and maintenance duties.
• Provide safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure work area is clean and all equipment and tools are properly stored after use.
• Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies such as weather events, etc.
• Operates Non-CDL required light and medium vehicles and equipment.
• Assists in performing public works duties in other Divisions as needed.
• Maintains clean and sanitary buildings, vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
