Description of the Role:

The Neil Huffman Automotive group has been a family-owned dealership for 55 years and is currently experiencing significant growth in our service department's traffic. We're looking for a Master Transmission technician to work in a fast paced work environment. The General Motors Transmission Technician at Neil Huffman GMC is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostic tests to identify transmission issues
• Repairing or replacing faulty transmission components
• Performing routine maintenance on transmission systems
• Documenting all services performed and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
• Collaborating with the service department to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a transmission technician or in a similar role
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
