This role is responsible for planning, developing, monitoring, and improving process quality systems to ensure products and services meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards while maintaining high levels of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Process Quality Management
  • Review and update process flow charts, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Establish inspection points, sampling methods, and testing frequency.
  • Perform capability studies (CpK, PpK) and attribute-based MSA studies.
  • Identify Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) and Critical-to-Process (CTP) factors.
  • Maintain defect catalogs, risk matrices, and process quality documentation.
  • Monitor process KPIs and implement 5S practices.
Quality Control & Compliance
  • Support production in evaluating and accepting or rejecting nonconforming parts.
  • Ensure proper material identification and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain measurement equipment records, gauges, and inspection tools.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and related standards.
  • Address internal quality issues using root cause and failure analysis methods.
Audits & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct process, product, and layered process audits.
  • Support internal audits and resolve audit findings.
  • Analyze quality data and reduce internal defects and PPM levels.
  • Support complaint investigations and inspection of returned materials.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Review work order instructions and process requirements.
  • Support new project launches and engineering changes.
  • Provide training and guidance to process auditors and end users.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
Authority & Scope
  • Oversee process quality assurance activities.
  • Manage customer complaint-related quality issues.
  • Authorized to stop production when nonconformance or quality risks are identified.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience (automotive quality preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in process quality assurance.
  • Experience supervising quality or inspection personnel preferred.
Skills & Technical Knowledge
  • Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
  • Understanding of IATF 16949 standards and internal auditing practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with process mapping and root cause analysis tools (8D, failure tree).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Office, laboratory, and manufacturing settings.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.
