Position Overview
The Quality Specialist supports the Quality Manager in planning, coordinating, and maintaining quality programs to ensure customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance (ISO
14001, ISO
9001, IATF
16949), and continuous improvement across operations.
Customer & Product Quality
- Investigate and support the resolution of customer complaints.
- Ensure the quality of products shipped to customers and materials received from vendors.
- Take initial action on quality issues and recommend corrective measures.
- Communicate quality concerns across departments.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and submit quality documentation, including PPAPs, control plans, PFMEA, trial reports, and countermeasure responses.
- Support internal and external audits for ISO
9001, ISO
14001, and IATF
16949 compliance. - Assist with gauge approvals, part approvals, material data, and inspection standards.
Process Improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production in reducing scrap and rejection rates.
- Analyze product quality using statistical methods and report findings.
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with engineering, production, shipping, and sales teams for successful product launches.
- Support employee training on quality checks, testing methods, and documentation.
- Assist with data collection for quality systems and supplier evaluations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Internal Auditor certification (ISO/IATF) preferred.
- Familiarity with measuring tools, calibration equipment, and inspection processes.
- Understanding of quality management systems and standards.
- Proficiency in Office 365 or similar software.
- Valid driver s license required.
- Sitting and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills.
- Occasional bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to maintain close and distance vision with strong focus and depth perception.
