Sorter Tech

WAGE RANGE: $16.50 per hour (plus $2/hr Night Shift Premium, if applicable) (annual wage is $39,600)

Operate and Maintain sorter process and equipment.

Perform a variety of jobs to keep sorter process running and prevent any unscheduled downtime.

Job Requirements:

Must become qualified in the following within one month’s time from hire date:
Chemical training, Lock out tag out process, Computer data entry process. High-level communications skills both verbal and written. Have the ability to: trouble shoot and assist with repairs, understand system flow, trace flow path, monitor process set points, react to system alarms, record and review data, interpret data, work flexible workdays and hours on a rotating schedule, depending on demands of the company or process.

• Review and verify product set-up sheets against actual control points.
• Review process log and become familiar with recent process changes.
• Audit system alarms and take corrective action accordingly.
• Monitor and ensure data is accurate and within specifications, monitor and manage inventory levels.
• Make appropriate adjustments within guidelines to the system based on data collected.
• Make sure system in process sanitation is being followed; monitor all equipment cleaning trigger points.
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve production issues.
• Ability to work flexible schedules which entails nights, weekends and holidays.

• Keep work area and equipment clean and dry.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Assist, as needed, in cleaning the process line.
• Basic understanding and use of a computer.

• Must be able to use ladders, working on elevated platforms and working at different elevations.
• Must be able to see/differentiate all primary colors.
