Description

Are you ready to lead innovative programs that shape the future of maternal and child health in Kentucky? The Kentucky Department for Public Health is committed to improving the lives of citizens across the Commonwealth through a variety of impactful public health initiatives. Within the Division of Maternal and Child Health, we focus on the critical early stages of life, supporting prenatal, perinatal, infant, child, and family health.

As a Branch Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in driving statewide efforts that promote maternal and child health programs.

This position provides overall management of the Title V grant and initiatives; adolescent health programs such as the Personal Responsibility Education Program and Sexual Risk Avoidance Education; and child health programs, including the Child Fatality Review, Injury Prevention Program, and Bullying Prevention activities. These programs work with local health departments, schools, and several community partners to decrease risks and improve lives.

This is your opportunity to guide high‑impact programs, collaborate with passionate professionals, and contribute to a healthier Kentucky, one family at a time.

This is a federally funded time‑limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non‑merit) employee.

An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.
