Position Overview
A Service Desk Technician is needed to join a high-volume support team that provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical assistance to a wide range of end users. This role involves handling incoming calls and emails, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and able to communicate clearly with users of all technical skill levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, account access, and general system issues.
- Respond to a high volume of calls and emails while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, applications, connectivity, and user access.
- Assist with password resets, account updates, and basic administrative tasks.
- Document all interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly and concisely.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level teams when necessary.
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude, even in high-stress situations.
- Participate in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Support additional duties as assigned.
- At least 1 year of IT support experience (help desk or desktop support).
- Strong customer service skills and a professional phone demeanor.
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and calm with frustrated users.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, user-friendly terms.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures.
- Experience in customer-service-driven environments.
- Familiarity with operating systems and common business applications.
- Experience with remote support tools.
- Exposure to ticketing systems and knowledge-base documentation.
- Understanding of basic account administration and user access concepts.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
- Some Saturdays required
This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
